I picked up a really skinny, really dehydrated beardie a while back. He is doing much better after getting lots of baths, lots of greens, and lots of horn worms & crix...
His mouth-- inside-- was VERY yellow-- instead of being pink like normal... I assumed this was like jaundice from being malnourished.... :dunno:
However, after several weeks, he is much more lively, and is filling out, but the tongue and mouth is still yellowish....
Also-- I have notice that when he tries to get anything in his mouth, its like his tongue is not sticky like other beardies... The tongue stickiness fascinates me, always has.
I can get crix on my hand and the beardies will lick them off-- but this guy isn't sticky.
When he eats greens- he will attempt to get it with his tongue- then just bite into the bowl and get a mouthful -- does that make sense?
Any ideas on what would cause something like this?
He is a very sweet boy and one of my favorites.
