View Full Version : A little Honduran stuff
SublimeBoa 12-05-2008, 07:40 PM And I mean little. This is El Fuego, an '05 F1 Honduran Firebelly from Bob Harding stock. He's gonna be 4 in march, and still just a little bitty thing. He's so calm, it's hard to believe his parents are WC. Ain't he purty.

Who says they ain't arboreal?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v660/crotalusadamanteus/El%20Fuego/DSC_9328.jpg
And this little girl is his when she's ready. She is an '06 Bob Harding bred F3. She's already outgrown her man, though I have fed her pretty conservatively. She's twice his weight I bet, and over a foot longer. Oh, and I call her TAZ for a reason. She's homozygous evil. The super form.
Comin' to get me in the first one. :)

Sputnik 12-05-2008, 07:56 PM Those are cool, I like, don't see too many people working with em from what I have seen, but cool.... very nice pics too!
SublimeBoa 12-05-2008, 08:37 PM Thanks! They're pretty neat. I'm liking these guys a lot, though I'd love to be able to handle TAZ more. Almost had her there, but I gave her a bigger cage, and she grew horns again.
I have better pics of them, but those are the latest ones. Here's a couple more of TAZ...

They were coming in by the crates in the 90's, but nobody liked their dark coloration, or wanted to deal with TAZ's relatives. LOL I got these, not just because they are stunning animals, but because A lot of people have not had success pairing them up. I like challenges. And would love to selectively breed more fire into them over time.
TAZ is a definite challenge to keep. LOL She got me 3 times in a row when I first pulled her from the bag in the office. Shoulda seen my workmates scramble and squeal like little girls. She was maybe 10 inches long back then. I've been lucky enough to avoid most of her attempts since then though.
Man Rick you are getting an awesome collection together Bro! What you got cooking for this spring?
Nothing this year brotha. Only thing I'll have available will be yearlings from this season. I'd like to do My Hogs and Hondurans next, but I ain't sure if TAZ will be ready, and my Hog male is sitting in Abilene. He may not be willing by then either. He's just a little worm compared to his girl right now. LOL So, it's growing season for me next year.
Thanks again for all the comps. Like I said, these guys are pretty neat Boas. I have no regrets about them at all.
Rick

SublimeBoa 12-06-2008, 09:47 AM Sure thing Ron. Sucks you can hardly trust what you buy to be pure these days. That's held me back plenty.
Look at him waiting for me to come get him...

I really can't wait to come and get that boy. I think things are finally winding down at work, so maybe I should plan me a little road trip around the weekend of the NARBC show.
