What are some books you consider general "must haves" for your reptile library?

I currently have:

~Audubon Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians

~Terrarium and Cage Construction and Care Bartlett and Bartlett

~Cornsnake Morph Guide 2008 Charles Pritzel

~Corn Snakes the Comprehensive Owner's Guide Love and Love

~Florida's Snakes Bartlett and Bartlett

~Understanding Reptile Parasites Klingenberg

~The Complete Ball Python Kevin McCurley

~Ball Pythons-Habitat, Care, and Breeding Broghammer

~The Biology, Husbandry, and Health Care of Reptiles volumes I, II, and III

~Snakes Of the Southeast Gibbons and Dorcas

I also have a books on Green Anoles, Boa Constrictors, and Burmese Pythons. Don't why I have those, but they are in my library as well.



On my want list are:

~Reptile Medicine and Surgery 2nd edition Douglas Mader

~Snake Hunting Guide: Methods, Tools, and Techniques for Finding Snakes Will Bird and Phil Peak

~Pythons of the World Book Volumes I and II Dave and Tracy Barker

I have the corn snake one (Genetics)
The complete ball python
And the big gun - VPI's ball python mega book!

That's it really, I just don't spend much on books.... not when I see animals! :yessir:

I just got Jenea's book on hognose snakes (personalized copy at that)....

I read alot of them, some I keep some I don't....some like the corn snake one I use as a reference guide for the things I forgot I knew.

Alot of good info out there....

A Leopard Gecko manual (forget which one)

I also have a few area specific field guides.

I dont know if I consider any of them "essential" though. I try to keep updated on the forums like right here BABY!!!!!

I don't have all that many books, but I'm growing a large collection of reptiles magazine, its just hard getting some of the older copies since the site stopped selling them.

I've also go a few of the Peterson's field guides for reptiles around the us and regions of the us

The Klingenberg book on parasites is an excellent resource -- as is the Mader reptile medicine book.

For the general public the "whats wrong with my snake" book is a very good basic book.

My collection used to be huge, now it's down to the latest copy of Reptiles mag and Harry Greene's Snakes...
