Would have been but I removed this feisty little one off the road on my way home, granted some of the roads I take see 10 cars all day but still there is a chance and he was blocking my way...
Sorry for the cell phone pictures, all I had on me and this one was more interested in eating me then taking any shots so I got a lot of movement which my cell doesn't like...little guy thought he was 50 pounds and 4 foot tall with the way he was chewing on my boot...

Good save bro!
I found one out and about the other day. Of course I didn't have a camera . I wonder if they lay eggs this late in the year?
He does look a little fiesty, don't he?

He won't get through the boots, now a bigger one maybe...lol
This guy was about 4-5 inches in shell length so he wasn't to much of a threat...alot quicker when they are little though....:lmao:

Thanks for sharing. Nice of you to lend a hand or two!
Last year Jay found a good sized female on the "Green Belt" while walking home. We picked her up into our Jeep and gave her a bath with the hose. She was covering in dried rusty water. Then we took her to protected nature park with a pond and released her. It was cool. We have also enjoyed seeing a few day old snapper too.

Thanks guys, I know we are all the same and I always stop when I see something cold blooded on the road, I know that road gets hardly any traffic and I could have made around it okay but I would have felt bad if I drove back by in the morning to see it smashed in the road....
