Friday night a friend brought traded me her female argus. I have wanted to breed monitors for so long. well the pictures say more then I can. With in 45 minutes they where locked up.

And the morning after...tai is offically protecting her from everything and jade(the female) is very into tai as well. Tai will not stop bugging her so I tryed to break them apart and let her bask well as soon as I touched tai she started pufing at me more then I have ever herd from an argus.

Well, as long as one doesn't cause the other any damage it would probably be best to leave them together. Make sure we get egg pics and baby pics when the time comes :yes:

Incredible pics. Argus monitors are my favorite. I hear they are destructive to cages and can be difficult for that reason. If I had the space I would love to have a couple of Argus monitors. Very impressive.

I have never had any problems with cage destruction with my male the new female is pretty laid back for an argus...might be becuase she already has eggs. so I may have to wait an extra 30-60 days for eggs but thats ok.
still very excited I was told I may be the first in canada to produce panoptes :D
new cage starts nest weekend ( just need some 100 thousand screws)

Will do the new cage will also have a 3x4x2 egg box(that i hope she uses) to make it easier to find the eggs.
im keeping back 4 of them to raise up and hoping for 2 more girls

She seems to be getting chubbier and chubbier every day. Just hoping for the best. tai still seems interested so i know eventually i will see something..
