Varanus99 12-07-2008, 08:14 AM No, I didnt just get a trio :)
With permission from Crocdoc I am posting a link to this video. The video is a teaser of his trip to Indonesia to see the dragons in the flesh. Its very well done and I look forward to the full video.
Enjoy! Komodos rock so hard its not even funny
Hey Tokay...you wanna go halfsies with me on a pair? We'd probably have to buy a barn or something to set them up. And get a lead on some culled cows or goats. Oh, and spend a little time in prison. Totally worth it though.

Too cool for school thats for sure.
I do not like to travel. Not at all. But Ive wanted to see Komodos in the wild since I was old enough to know what a Komodo was. Maybe some day.
I can actually remember the first time I saw a Komodo. I was just a little boy, dont remember exactly how old but very young. My father and I were watching a nature show. Might have been Wild Kingdom as thats pretty much all that was around back then. The dragons came out and I just...I dont know I just spaced out. Just mesmerized by them. I even remember what my father said and my reply.
He said "What do you think of them, pal?"
And all I could say was:
"Dad they're BIG!"
:)
JChandler 12-07-2008, 08:27 AM I flew overseas the first time this year, long flight just to europe but I want to go to Australia one day so I am going to have to plan a very long trip to go here to....some month long sabbatical, next year I will enough vacation time to take a month straight off just don't know how the hell I can afford to go away for that long.
We'll figure it out sometime here....:yessir:

Thats part of the problem. Based on what I do for a living I just cant leave for that length of time. Month long trips will most likely have to wait until I retire. I could sneak away for a week but thats not enough time for me. If I haul my butt all the way to Indo-freakin'-nesia Im gonna set a spell. I gotta be there at least 2-3 weeks bare minimum to take it all in. Australia as well. Couldnt hack just being there a few days.
norsmis 12-07-2008, 08:35 AM Man V, my first thought when I saw this thread.... No way... He didnt!!!!
I love to travel and have been all over the world.... twice!!! It took us 24 hours of flying to get from Hawaii to Afghanistan. And we werent flying first class either..... So much crap you had to carry you could barely move....

Crocdoc definatly has some damn good video's also.
Varanus99 12-07-2008, 11:01 AM I really like Crocdoc. Ive only communicated with him briefly on the forums but hes a smart guy. Really knows his stuff. Ive learned a lot from him.
Plus he has a taste for the theatrical so his videos are always fun to watch. The baby lacies and perenties eating is a classic.
