Tournament fishing has ruined Sam Rayburn, try fishing there on any weekend. kare 08-03-2010, 10:16 PM lowlife scum - can't win fairly so cheat to get the money.... BT 08-03-2010, 10:28 PM I just finished reading this, to be honest I'm surprised no one has been caught doing this before. Tournament fishing has ruined Sam Rayburn, try fishing there on any weekend. How's the fishin' on Lake Fork? Quig 08-03-2010, 11:06 PM Is NOTHING sacred anymore?????:machinegun: It's all about the money. Wild Bill 08-03-2010, 11:12 PM Makes you wonder how many people have gotten away with it..... Buckskin 08-03-2010, 11:46 PM I'm sure it wasn't his first offence either. Maybe just the first time he got caught. skm0308 08-03-2010, 11:49 PM How's the fishin' on Lake Fork? I've never fished Fork, grew up an East Texan and never ventured that far north to fish. :lmao: My dad grew up fishing Rayburn and I guess passed it down to me. Hard to venture anywhere else. We've resorted to wade fishing back in the buck brush during the spawn to get away from everyone. Ever fished Toledo Bend? beclende 08-04-2010, 12:04 AM I've never fished Fork, grew up an East Texan and never ventured that far north to fish. :lmao: My dad grew up fishing Rayburn and I guess passed it down to me. You live in Texas and never fished Fork!!!! Jaymz 08-04-2010, 12:21 AM You live in Texas and never fished Fork!!!!  skm0308 08-04-2010, 01:21 AM Where about in East Texas? Ever fished Toledo Bend? Yeah, my dad lived on Toledo for 2 yrs (Hemphill) and I'm not a fan. Tons of stumps, you have to run in boat lanes anywhere you go on that lake and still you're constantly hitting stumps. Not to mention Black Bass fishing wasn't as good. He moved back to Rayburn (Broaddus to be exact) and is much happier. As to not fishing Fork, you have to have lots of knowledge of each lake to be productive. It's really hard to spend 2 days at a lake and know the hot spots. Having 30+ yrs experience on Rayburn helps us be much more productive there than a weekend at Fork. I haven't been to Toledo since I was a teenager...We used to catch an ass load of Bream when they'd bed up but your right - Stump city...LOL We used to run yo-yo's for White Perch and Catfish out of Grapevine...Good times - norsmis 08-04-2010, 06:06 AM Cheating bastage! Man you fellas are speaking my language now! Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn, Lake Fairfield, Cedar Creek Lake, Tawakoni..... all my old stomping grounds! I have a 9 and half pounder mounted out of Fairfield. Caught it when I was 16 years old. ANd man do I miss the crappie fishing at Tawakoni! Big ol slabs in the spring! JChandler 08-04-2010, 07:05 AM Wait so people lie about fishing...:lmao: Sorry someone had to say it.... MikeCurtin 08-04-2010, 01:50 PM If you can't win a tourney fair, don't compete! What kind of example is this guy setting for kids out there??? Fishing is supposed to be fun and enjoyable...competition is just a bonus. This man has been blessed with the opportunity to go fishing for a living, and this is how he acts. http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/19468/cheating+scandal+at+us+open+rocks+bass-fishing+community/ Sad, sad, sad to see. At least he can be used as a bad example. Passion4Pythons 08-04-2010, 01:56 PM If the fish were dead, wouldnt he think they would be cut up?! what a moron Sara 08-04-2010, 11:03 PM Wow... I can't believe that my dad hasn't called screaming about this! He's a bass fishing fanatic. It's one thing to "stretch the truth" about how big it was in jest, but to flat out cheat is incomprehensible. What an ass. skm0308 08-05-2010, 11:54 PM We used to run yo-yo's for White Perch and Catfish out of Grapevine...Good times - That brings back memories, I remember seeing those attached to piers and asking my dad, what are those? When you say White Perch do you mean White Bass? :lmao: We've mopped up on those beneath Livingston when they're running. Even up here in Austin there's a few hotspots that during the right time of year you're shoulder to shoulder and everyone is catching them! Wild Bill 08-05-2010, 11:57 PM ANd man do I miss the crappie fishing at Tawakoni! Big ol slabs in the spring! Man those are fun to catch, put up a hell of a fight for such a small fish, really fun on lightweight setups......:hellyea: norsmis 08-06-2010, 07:32 AM That brings back memories, I remember seeing those attached to piers and asking my dad, what are those? MorphBalls 08-06-2010, 08:48 PM I fish Clearlake out here in cali home of some real monsters. I'd love love love to fish Fork or Rayburn . skm0308 08-06-2010, 10:14 PM Most people (not from Texas! :D ) call crappie white perch. Wow I was way off! lol I haven't fished for crappie in years, although IMHO they're the best tasting fish there is. Nice to have another Texan on here to explain what these yankees are talking about! :lmao: kare 08-06-2010, 11:29 PM I'm with you, crappie is the best....although my brothers will argue that walleye is better. phunkyone808 08-08-2010, 06:01 AM What a lowlife scumbag! |
