I sincerely appreciate the enthusiastic responses everyone. :yourock: He is an Upscale line. I have also heard them referenced as Malsin or Flora and Fauna. I prefer Upscale.

He is a late 07 who has been an so-so eater for me since I got him when he was about 170 grams. He is around 700 grams. He gets better with age and is shockingly bright after a fresh shed.

I have 4-5 Caramel/Codom projects in the works. They are my favorite recessive, and that first ball that I said WOW!!! -- upon seeing it for the first time. I know the kinking problems scare some folks away. :nono: There is a lot yet to be done with them. I view kinking as part of working with one sweet morph!!!

I agree with you 100%! I finally got mine this year after a long time looking at them and cant wait to bread him. I have out crossed a het male to normal girls and kept all my females and the Caramel male is completely unrelated to them so I hope it will help......

For sure Phil, I think out crossing is always good with Caramel projects. Also, avoid breeding visual to visual. In addition to the Upscale boy, I have hets from the SK line and some double hets for Glow from the Nerd line. My SK Mohave Het Caramel is going to get first crack at the hets this season. The Upscale will get the whatever he can't handle.

I am not overly secretive about most of my projects. What is the point??? That being the case, after 2 Y.B's and a couple normals to make hets, I am not sure what other codoms I will put him with. I was thinking Cinny to work into my Cajun Butter and Lithium projects next season. I'll most likely use my prettiest Pastel with him.

Keep holding those het girls back Phil!!! Good luck with proving those girls:rockon:

Are you planning on going for Ivory Caramels in the future? Also can you post an updated shot of the Lithium? Thanks:cheers:

Great minds think alike Noah:lol: Caramel Ivories -- and working those genes into the Lithium(Butter/Cinny) genes. My Butter Belly male is feeding well and is approaching 200 grams. If he gets up to size he will be covering 3-4 Cinnies and a Pastel and possibly a Y.B.

I am trying to keep most of my morph girls warm and feeding until March when the males I want to pair them with are ready. All of my powerhouse males were from late hatches(Aug-Oct.). They are eating twice per week and I sneak a third in every so often. I'll post a pic of them in a group sometime when most of them are not in shed -- which is almost NEVER when they are growing at the rate they are:cool:

As for the Lithium, she looks much the same as she did in my post a couple weeks ago.(I forget which section it is in -- but it is there.) She is about 400 grams and like ALL my Butters and Butter combos is feeding like nobody's business -- just like their daddy. In shed matters not to her. She could EASILY get fat if I let her. Her Butter pappy is a 1600 gram 07. A real sweetheart and a FANTASTIC BREEDER. I will post some pics when she gets a couple hundred more grams on her.:yessir:

That's an interesting pairing. I wonder what all that yellowbelly color will do when combined with the caramel gene?

Good luck with that project! Killer caramel btw...

Thanks Larry:cool: I suspect that you could be correct in thinking the Y.B. Hets from this breeding may have some kind of markers or show distinct color variation from the Y.B's in the clutch -- because the codom is a "Yellow Belly". They do some wacky stuff from time to time...
