The male is all weird & pissed off now. He isn't a big eater to begin with.

The female struck at it once , realized what it was and grabbed on. When I noticed she didn't pull back, I looked closer and she was trying to eat it off the tongs.

This is the time of the year when some of them tend to get pissy and go off food, especially the males. I have a mexican male that gets pissed off if he even sees me across the room. My hubby walked in the other day and the little guy started hissing and head butting the tub. Funny thing is that my husband was 15 ft. away! Goofy snake!

Interesting. When I first got them in Oct. he would eat anything ( ASF & mice ) then in mid Nov. he went to every so often and started snubbing ASF.

Bet he comes around in Feb. One thing you can do is drop his temps for about 3 to 4 weeks, and then bring them back up. Sometimes this fools them into think they have brumated and they start feeding again.

I might give that a shot. Will it make much difference him being a wee little baby type guy?

I do not have an honest answer for that Byron. I would say no, because they do it in the wild. Best suggestion is to weigh him weekly, regardless of what you do. If he is not really loosing, then wait him out.

Sweet lookin little hoggie man! You gotta love the attitude on them. I was feeding mine last night and the female just kept head butting the damn pinkie and hissing up a storm! Wouldn't eat it til I left in there with her for her to deal with on her own terms lol.

Congrats on the feeding of your lil girl. I'm sure the male will come around just as Jenea says. She's the one who would know.

The female has been eating but live only , same as the male. I'm just thrilled she took F/T on the first offer.

The male is being a little pecker head about it.
