View Full Version : Feeder Geckos
BallPythons9 08-12-2010, 12:31 PM So I was reading an article about the natural diet of ackies in the wild and it said that a high percentage of their diet was lizards and geckos along with insects and other things. I was wondering if you thought it would be a good idea to feed some f/t feeder geckos to my ackies once they put on some weight? Also, have any of you ever fed feeder geckos/lizards to your monitors?
You do not HAVE to do it. Yes, I have, but don't feel like it's something that MUST be included in their diet.

tokaysunlimited 08-13-2010, 03:07 PM I agree with Sara its not a must for there diet.
Also if you do decide to go that route once in a while you should absoluty make sure they are CBB.Also unless they have been captive bred by yourself i would qt them for a good 6 months.
Dont really want to drop the dime on Ackies and having something happen to them.

Agreed, I was just curious as to if anyone fed them, but I probably won't.

Chad M. Lane 08-17-2010, 09:14 PM I agree it's not needed, but if you do/have a clean source that is parasite free, it is good enrichment.
Cheers,
Chad
