Wow, for the first time ever, I am actually have some real success at breeding the creepy-crawly little buggers! I don't know what I have done differently this time around, but when searching the "empty" oatmeal container today, I came across a BUNCH of little mealies! This is exciting, I am tired of going through about $25 a week on the damn things.
Now, for them to grow up so I can actually feed the stupid things off. Little babies are nice, but my guys are way too big for them. LOL

Not real sure on how I would get pics of little worms that are hard enough to see in the oatmeal, but I can try LOL.

:wamma::wamma::wamma: Congratulations!!!!
I am about to venture into my second attempt at crix - stupid feeders are harder to raise than the lizards they feed.

Kelly it takes a while to get them up to size, usually about 2 months.... I finally have a good colony going but have to watch out that I dont ever feed and deplete the colony completely....

Yeah right now my plan is to hold the 3 bins of "eggs" and small mealies I have, then turn around about 1000 of them into beetles again. I only started with about 30 or 40 this time, so I know it is going to take time, but in the next 6 months or so I hope to have too many! These leos go through about 3k a week of the damned things, and I am going to up my breedings next fall, so they will come in handy!
