heres a short little video of the box turtle pen that I built this spring, the pond has become really overgrown with plants but the boxies seem to love crawling among them and basking in the water in the dappled shade when its really hot out. The vid also includes our goldfish/kio pond, it has lots of frogs, toads, and garter snakes too, and the birds like to use the shallow end to water and take a bath. Unfortunatly the box turtles weren't out when I shot this, will have to try and take a video in the early morning when they are active.

Hauling 30 tons of rock and gravel via pick-up truck and wheelbarrel in the summer heat, fun stuff their, you guys should try it, also dug the whole thing by hand with a shovel, my back was sore for at least a month, lol. Won't be doing anything like that again any time soon, spend 5 yrs just planning it all out, ......at least thats what I kept telling my wife every year......I'm still planning the details, maybe I will be able to build it next year, lol.

Thanks guys, did anyon notice the gargoyle that sits on top of the skimmer box? We got that from an online place called Toscano, he is kind of a crabby looking dude, gargoles are supposed to ward off evil spirits from the pond aka raccoons, lol. So far it has worked, no koi or goldfish have been eaten by raccoons.

Yeah, I thought it was a cat stalking the fish, LOL.
