Im trying to go threw the steps to get fed-x certifeid. I got my packaging services application and have filled it out. Do just stick the label on the outside of the over box and the package inside? Do I have to use an over box. Or Do I just pack it like i was shipping an snake and stick the service app in one of the platsic folders on the outside of the test package. Or do I have to go to fedx and print out a shipping label. It has the fedx address on the bottm of the app and says attach this to the outside of the package.
Thanks for the help.

Fedex suggests -- or at least they did when I did mine -- that you repackage your shipping box inside another box when you send it to be tested -- and label the box testing package inside -- or something of that nature -- you can then just include the paperwork on top of your shipping box. If I remember correctly there is a phone number (maybe on the application?) to the testing facility -- you might want to give them a call to verify how they'd like it sent.
Good luck!

when I sent mine in... all I did was print off the shipping label from fedx's website and put the filed out application on the inside of the box. I did not ship it in an outer box.

I did not ship it in an outer box either.

I filled out the paperwork at the fed ex hub with the shipping info since they pick up the tab and got one of those nifty little plastic holders to stuff my papers in on the outside of the box.
I argued with them about the overbox, they suggest it but it seemed stupid to me. I ended up sending it without an overbox and it was fine.

yeah... I looked at it this way. I could pay to use 2 boxes... or I could just ship the one... Like I would normally do and see what damage they could do to it. They hardly dented my box.
