I received a Russian Tortoise egg from one of my dads friends. She just hatched out (well i figure its female because I incubated it at 89 degrees with my BP eggs). It was cool hatching my first tortoise. It just burst out of the egg, nothing like a snake or lizard.

Thats cool, congrats! sometimes they kinda just bulldoze there way out of the egg and hit the ground runnin' don't they? Sometimes they will bulldoze there way out then back into the egg and park it at home for a day or two not sure if they want to take on the world yet....mommas boys, lol.
