Here's my 3rd female - I think I have about a 50/50 chance she'll go...I'd say I'm 85% sure my other 2 girls will drop clutches...Their starting to swell up and their bands are really starting to turn dark red - Sorta like the BP glow if you know what I mean...

Here's a pic from this morning of my 3rd female - If she drops a clutch they'll be little smokers for sure...

Here's a few of my racks...I know their ugly but they work...:yessir:

The top 5 slots (with aspen) on the rack second from the right are where I keep the Womas...

I have a 2.3 and their all 06's...Two of the females are about the same size - Right about 5 foot - The girl sitting on the tub is one of the two...She's the female that gave me my 1st Woma clutch last year...

Yeah, me either.... Then the male went and croaked on me from an eye infection I didnt even realize he had until it was too late. He was fine one Saturday and the next Saturday his head was all swollen and his eye looked horrible. Took him to the vet that day and he died Sunday.... Sucks!

Dude, all those lids would kill me!! Once I went lidless, I have not looked back. The few lidded tubs I still have to deal with drive me CRAZY!! I hate 'em on cleaning and feeding day!

I love my lids......I keep my BP's pretty humid - Humidity and Melamine don't get along very well...The only racks I have that don't have lids are my hatchling racks...

I need to add these to my list.

Seriously BT I like the setup and am in the market to build some new racks. I have used melamine for my last project but I need the dimensions for the setup with lids. So you just by the 4x8 sheets and cut them up yourself?

Cut them myself - Hell no...It's too heavy and I couldn't cut a straight line to save my life...I have Home Depot cut it...They'll usually do it for free unless you get someone who's pissed and doesn't like to cut - Then they'll charge ya 25 cents per cut - Which is well worth it to me...I have a hammer, screw driver and a drill and that's about it...

I got a suggestion for ya BT if cutting straight is a problem. Get yourself a tablesaw. Having the stuff cut at the Depot is great but you never know when you might get an itch to put something together or make something custom. You dont need a real high end one since you arent making cabinets for a living. I think my table saw cost me like $150? Well worth it. Its a wonderful tool. You set the fence to the size you want and push your material through. Then if you leave the fence locked you can rip pieces that will be exactly the same size. Making racks with a circular saw would indeed be a little tricky since you need such precise dimensions so all the pieces fit together.

Amd I got a question for ya. How difficult is it to get the babies started? I dont have womas but I have read the adults are chowhounds. Do the babies take to food pretty well or does it take some patience to get them going?

In my limited experience with them (1 clutch last year) they all started eating pretty easily. I did have one that held off for about 3 weeks after the others started eating but 6 of the 7 I hatched took ft rat pinks the first try. Most of mine were little zingers for the first month but after a little handling they all calmed down and would eat anything you put in their cage....
And they were probably some of the easiest snakes to sex (pop) I have ever seen.

I would big V but I like all my fingers attached to my hand......Most of the babies took off really easy...I had a couple that even ate before their 1st shed...I did have 1 or 2 that held out a few weeks but nothing to worry about...

Fair enough

Wouldnt want you to have to try to pop snakes one handed. That couldnt be good.
