Had these two clutches that were laid the same day also start pipping the same day(73 days at 80-81 degrees).

~Doug

So what is that exactly Doug, Albino tang?

So what is that exactly Doug, Albino tang?

That is an "extreme" hypomelanistic Honduran. They display FAR less melanin than typical hypos do, and some exceptional specimens can look almost amelanistic(albino)like this one does. A regular hypo is just simply clean, fairly vivid, no tipping(until older at least).

And these have the melanin so far reduced it leaves the tangerine coloration an eye-popping neon pumpkin orange, many times with vanished and/or pin-bands, patternless bellies and throats, ZERO TIPPING(and stay that way through adulthood), and instead of black pupils, the vast reduction of melanin even leaves their eyes a ruby-red coloration similar to an albino. But it is a totally different recessive trait than amelanism. It is simply the hypo trait on steroids!..LOL!

It resembles a T-positive animal, but it is 100% hypomelanism. You can even get fairly normal hypos within the same clutch of an extreme x extreme mating as well. And you can also produce extremes from seemingly "normal" hypos bred together, as long as they are decendents of an extreme clutch and carry this same "extreme" hypo gene.

Thanks Sara,........I just love working with these guys. Many times people complain about not being able to get rid of their hatchling snakes soon enough and have to hang onto them much longer than they'd like, but these guys are usually sold long before they even hatch!

Wish everything else was like that in life...:lmao:

Thanks!,......

Yeah, I agree!. Nervous as all HELL for the most part as youngsters, but they are definitely gorgeous animals as well!

I hate getting crapped on in normal life, but for some reason, I got used to(and expect it) from all the young Hondo's I have had over the many years. Holding other young stuff in my collection is an absolute DREAM after messing with lots of young Hondurans..LOL! :lmao:

But yes, I really do like working with them regardless..HAHAA!!

Good luck with raising yours up and producing some!
