This little girl was saved from feral cats and the lady didn't feel safe putting her back out in the yard. I am not sure if I should keep her over the winter, or release her back in the wild now.

What are the laws in your state concerning boxies? Releasing animals? In FL, even if it is native, you are not allowed to release an animal once it has been in captivity. It has the risk of exposing the wild population to new pathogens.

The title was supposed to be Rescue Box Turtle. If I do keep her over the winter I will find a home for her.
