A bunch of firsts here. My first boa ovulation, her first ovulation and the first ovulation of the season for my little batch of boas! This is probably old hat to some of you, but I'm giddy as a schoolgirl.

She is a Jeremy Stone 04 albino x J Stone Het albino. Once I saw the ovulation below, I put my albino het snow in there just in case there are some last shots to be made.

You may be catching her moving everything to the sperm at the very beginning of the ovulation/fertilization process. I just noticed a little bit of tight "SSS" above and below the swell. As the follicles develop, they are smaller, and when she ovulates, she moves them all to where the sperm is retained, and as this happens, the follicles swell into ovum, and creates that familiar swell.

Looks like good news either way by the pictures. Hows she acting now? I ain't breeding this year, so I gotta live vicariously through those how are. LOL

Hey Rick,
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry to hear your not breeding boas this year.

She is now sitting in the same spot everyday for the most part. In the heat conservation position. There is a small amount of swelling (babies!) about 16 inches above her tail. I have started feeding her small meals. I think the bump will be picture worthy in a couple weeks. She never had a POS, but I'm 99% sure she is gravid. I'm guessing April 18(ish) for the big day, but it's my first time so we'll have to see.

If she took, you should be noticing an increase in her size in the next month. Mine generally start looking a bit obvious about a month or so after ovulation, and just continue to grow from there. The swelling should spread upwards also if she took. Just something else to watch for. LOL

I don't breed every year anyway. I breed when I have a plan going on. So it don't bother me any. LOL

Good luck Bro. I'll be waiting till April for the results.
