FloridaHogs 12-11-2008, 09:01 PM 75 to 80 on the cool, 90 on the hot spot Rick247 12-11-2008, 09:03 PM 75 to 80 on the cool, 90 on the hot spot Thats about what I run. there is not a thread here for temps. :yourock: Larry 12-11-2008, 09:03 PM Now during breeding season I'm shooting for 68-70 cool side. Summer time around 80 or so.. luciddream 12-12-2008, 11:36 AM For the little ones, they get a 78 cool side, 90 warm. The bigger ones get a 75 cool side, 92 warm, though it's a little cooler now for breeding. JOHNS6068 12-12-2008, 11:01 PM 80-82 cool side and 90-92 warm side Dave79 12-13-2008, 09:47 AM Wow Larry, that low? It seems to work for you though. beclende 12-13-2008, 12:37 PM Now during breeding season I'm shooting for 68-70 cool side. Summer time around 80 or so.. This is what mine are run at summer and winter, my room cools itself and I never adjust my hotspot so summer is 78-82 on the cool end winter is low 70's. houseofscales 12-17-2008, 02:38 PM My cool sides vary on what rack they are in, but most of my racks are running right around 70-74 on the cool side and 84-88 on the hot side. Every once and a while I'll shoot a tub and the hot side will be 90-92 and I've had cool sides shoot a little under 70 too. It doesn't seem to have any affect one way or another on them. This year I'm trying something a little different with my breeders. Since my females out number my males the week they don't have a male in with them they get fed a small rat. A buddy of mine here in KC did this last year and his females laid some of the largest eggs I've seen come from a ball! I have never fed during breeding season before but it obviously works so I'll see what I can do. That being said I'm also not fluctuating temps this year. The same friend bred with out cooling last year and all of his females laid just fine for him. I've always cooled and have never had the success that he had last year. Buckskin 12-17-2008, 08:43 PM Hi, I cool from Nov. to Christmas. Hot spot set at 90 with a 10 drop at night. That lowers my room temp to 76 by morning. Temps in the room rise back up to 80 during the day. The rest of the year I run my hot spot at 92 with a 5 drop. My room stays at about 84. Good luck |
