View Full Version : Adult Borneo Cage Size Rapture 12-11-2008, 10:18 PM So, what do you use for your big fat snakes? JChandler 12-11-2008, 10:27 PM Mine are in 4 1/2 x 2 foot cages, christmas tree tubs, the height part they don't need but I couldn't find any shorter. But mine aren't borneo's but you get the idea... WinstonHS 12-11-2008, 10:32 PM Did you make a rack for the christmas tree tubs? JChandler 12-11-2008, 10:36 PM Did you make a rack for the christmas tree tubs? No not yet, I want to make one that slides out sideways since I have limited space, spring project this year.... BT 12-12-2008, 12:15 AM I use AP T-10's for my adults... beclende 12-12-2008, 03:19 AM The Ap 10t's seem to be where it's at adult bloods. I am going to bring home a couple after the holidays. They stack too!! Matt_J 12-12-2008, 05:16 AM I'm a devout FB keeper. I like the size and ventilation. Plus, if you have any that are pretty 'angry' it's MUCH easier to get them out of these drawers than with front load cages in my experience (I used to have 6' x 2' wooden cages for them). I don't use mulch anymore though... now just newspaper, large water bowl and cement trough hide boxes. I usually have a small 'flood' once a week to saturate the whole cage. The good thing about the FB racks for me: I have three of the 'Jumbo' (4' x 30") in my snake room, so I get to keep 18 adults! :) This gal is just over 6 feet and around 25 pounds. She's going to be 12 years old pretty soon: http://www.monkeyfrog.com/images/facilitiesandsetup/DSCN4464.JPG Matt Drew87 12-12-2008, 07:06 AM Right now i have my bloods in a CB-70. But they are not full grown yet so ill be moving them up into a 4X2 cages. :yessir: littleindiangirl 12-12-2008, 02:54 PM AP T10's beclende 12-13-2008, 07:36 AM 25lbs is one big girl!!!! I think that big yellow male I posted was around the 15lb mark before he left. These animals are amazing. No other snake that I have seen can take one meal and turn it into as much growth as a blood. Anyone else got some real beefy ones out there? norsmis 12-13-2008, 07:44 AM Did you make a rack for the christmas tree tubs? I have one I made out of 24" hollow core doors for my womas and black pines. They slide out sideways and it works great! Its not the prettiest thing in the world but its functional. Easy to make too! snakebite 01-25-2009, 03:25 AM Did you make a rack for the christmas tree tubs? yeah i made a rack for 4 four of them it works great snakebite 01-25-2009, 03:26 AM I'm a devout FB keeper.
