I noticed one thing though.... there are pictures from a TON of sources in it and no one was given credit for the use of their pictures either on the photos themselves or at the end of the video. And I hope you received permission for the use of the pictures. thekobracommander 09-29-2010, 12:55 AM Nice morelia compilation video for sure. He gave you credit for the work and pointed out a few things to you that will help you with your future vid making efforts. thekobracommander 09-29-2010, 05:10 AM I believe Jason was pointing out what should be done prior to any use of someone else's images - just trying to help you out. Just get permission from the owners of the pics before using them and things will be good to go! thekobracommander 09-29-2010, 05:33 AM I understand that andso do the other members but with all the pics that get stolen for "shady" operations like ripping people off, people are very sensitive about their pics being used without permission. Like I said, good effort putting the images together, it is a cool montage of my favorite genus of snakes... Hell I save tons of photos from the net to my computer of a ton of different animals, the difference is that they're for my personal enjoyment/reference. I'm not making a compilation video of other people's property with MY Youtube account without any further explanation of who owns the animals/photos. I do have a few of my images around the net, but they were used with my express consent and I'm given credit for the image. You can't treat every photo on the net like a "stock photo" or royalty free photo. I was simply stating to you that there ARE digital copyright laws, and you clearly violated them. If you feel the need to discuss it further as a civil adult, I will be at Tinley NARBC. Perhaps take a break from making videos, and jump into the BLBC sharing your animals and background, and becoming an active participating member and you'll build a greater rapport with the members here. Jason Agreed, and I will also be there - hopefully, this isn't still an issue in 2 weeks from now.... I hope to hell it isn't.... lol |
