Has anyone seen any desert ghost available? Not the co-doms Pete has, like the ones Nerd and the Bell's have.

The co-dom's that you're talking about aren't desert ghosts, they're just deserts... completely different morph. Although I do believe they were originally mistaken as another line of desert ghost.

I think you mean the one Craig Stewart (The Urban Python) is working with up in Canada. Not sure if he has any up for sale, but my guess would be no...He does have a nice Tofee Ball Project for sale though!!! :wamma:

what is the difference between desert and desert ghost? Are they two different lines?

I'm talking about the recessive desert ghosts. Mark and Kim Bell were the first to produce them. They have a white-off white ground color with a black pattern. Check them out here, they are insane. I saw a female at NERD wayyyy back in 1998 and have loved them since.

Desert ghosts look alot like the plain Deserts. The only difference between them are there Genectics. Desert Ghosts are recessive, while Deserts are a co-dom morph.
And I hate you guys bringing this up because I want a Desert so bad.lol

So if they are totally unrelated animals, why do they have such similiar and confusing names?

Casy Lazik Reptiles also has something similar to the two. He calls it Orange Lazik Tigers. Genectics still unknown. I say its gonna be a Dominant morph.
Ozzy Boids himself also has something similar to the three. He calls his Orange dreams. I really like how his orange dreams cleaned up a spider. Sort of like what Deserts do. They're a sharpning morph. They should of called it the photoshop Bp.;)

This is a link to a picture of the Desert Ghost Prehistoric is selling.

Here are a couple of current pictures of my Female Desert. She is not the greatest eater in the world (I think she thinks she is a Pied) but she is eating again after taking three month off. Oh well if a super is proved I will be at least a few years ahead on the project.

The Desert Ghost may be a better looking base morph but the combos with the Dessert are just insane. I seriously doubt that the Desert Ghost combos are going to be that nice but with it being a recessive I guess we will know in about five or six years or so. http://www.albeysreptiles.com/images/icon_smile_tongue.gif

You Tell him Albey!
The only positive that I see out of getting a desert ghost is if you make combos, the recessive desert ghost in the Bp will hold its value more than the Co-dom Desert.

I guess when they finally come out with the first Combo desert ghost morph knowones gonna pay it no mind because the Desert will have done it already.
To me I think Desert Ghosts are a waste. Deserts is the way to go.
