View Full Version : Starting morph list?

I have noticed that most of the websites around that have morph and combo list have let them get way outdated. I like some of the ones that show the year, combo produced and by who. I was wondering if we started this here if everyone else would be interested in helping and trying to get a good list going of what has been produced.

So many things get produced and hidden but I would try to help or add anything I could.

Ive always wanted a list that's always up to date, on EVERYTHING thats ever been created. First it'd need to start off with a complete list of all PROVEN base morphs, organized into recessive, codom, and dom. Maybe this could be the hallmark of the BLBC?

Sounds like a good idea. BT and Larry seem to be in the know on a lot of new stuff.

The last good list I could find was partially updated in 2006. So, for this to work and get updated fully it will really have to be a community effort.

Good idea Bill!! I like the sound of this!! But I'm clueless to whats all out there much past the basic morph combo's. So much hidden stuff I think?? Just like someone said earlier in a post. So I'm not sure how much help I can be. But I'll chip in what I can just don't expect to much (lol) :D

I think it'd work well if certain people decided to hold themselves responsible for watching different places that breeders post new creations, like the KS forums, VPI bragspot, etc.

Maybe if there was a sticky that someone started then people could add to it if someone left something out and eventually it could be turned into one list? I dont know just throwing stuff out there. Not a big computer guy so dont know if that would work.

Well, I'm going to start getting as much info as I can off of previously started lists. I will start a thread to start creating the list and people can post comments on stuff that needs to be changed and or added. When we get a updated list we can ask to make it a sticky that gets updated as stuff hatches out. :yessir:

Can we include pics?

NoahHart

Im not sure pics would work since we would need to get peoples permission to use the pics if they werent our animals.

It would be great to see a list like this. Chris Gilbert and I have a site called boalist.com (http://www.boalist.com) that is a similar idea for boas. Check it out.

Captive bred reptile forum has a nice format for such a list. Might be a place to start.

Sounds like a great idea to me! I'd love to see that pan out as something the BLBC could be known for in the community!

Alright guys lets get it going. Lets list all the recessive morphs first, because thats probably the shortest list. We'll do pics after, lets just get all the morphs on the table first, and maybe Larry or BT can edit it later into one post and have the name of the morph link to a picture.

Albino
Axanthic
Caramel Albino
Clown
Desert Ghost
Genetic Stripe
Ghost/Hypo
Lavender Albino
Piebald
Tri-Stripe

Wow, I would have thought there'd be more. What am I forgetting?

Do we list all lines of things that are not compatible like the Axanthics or just keep it really simple.

I'm with you on that. I sneeze and there's a new morph out there that I've never heard of.
