i got my son a leopard gecko for x-mis and is there a way to tell the male from a female when they are babbies if any one knows how can you let me know and i will get piuctures up as soon as i can

They need to be six months old or better before you can tell. Here's a link with pics of both male and female.

Quig is right. The only way to even guess is if you know the breeder and can tell you what temp they were incubated at. Other than that, you have to wait until the males "bulge" starts showing.....

The pores will be there when it's mature...

Gotta wait....pick a unisex name so it is good either way.

If its any help most of the larger breeders incubate many more females than males. Since females can be kept in colonies with little to no fighting. So if you got it from a pet shop or a big breeder good chance its female. Just a guess though.

Oh this is GREAT! I went to school with so many Bobbi Jo's and Bobbi Jeans...who actually and I'm not making this up...wanted to be know by there initials. HA HA.....Can you imagine telling one of you buddies yea this is my GIRLFRIEND BJ? That was Denmark, ME though....so A lil redneck there too....V and I named some of his some interesting names....my favorite Gecko's name is Mindy and her partner is Mork....! Ya gotta love it! :)
