my brother got this buck yesterday. he got lucky on a one day hunt. he said it went about 200lbs or a bit more. i think my brother did good :)

it's an older buck so my brothers wife is going to make some tamales and chili outa him. my brother is going to get him mounted. he said this is the biggest white tail he has ever gotten. i can't wait for the chili and tamales!

am hoping for some young tenderloin this year ....but a buck like that would be hard to pass on . maybe you could post the recipe for the tamales in the recipe section . i have my own for deer chili . you are making e hungry...we had to eat all our deer within a few days this summer when the freezer went out. it all thawed to far before we noticed...deer chili in the hot summer is still good .
