Jenea I love it when you post pix . Your hoggies always make me want to get into them .
What do you call the pattern on the 2 brothers ?
I am really diggin on those darkies but the red one you call Inferno is hot . Will it stay that color ?

WOW!!! I am in AWE and your photography skills leave me with a LONG way to go!!! Congrats on having such an amazing collection. I absolutely LOVE hognose but most are not legal for us in Alberta, Canada...at least the westerns anyway.

The brothers are something I am working on proving out this year...hoping to find it is genetic. I produced 5 of them from the same pairing. One set of twins did not make it, and the third little one hatched out very weak and undersized. That left me with the two brothers. Their pattern reminds me of a tiger pattern, so I am calling them Bengals. Hate to really name something before it is proved out, but I have had several request for them once they prove out, that I had to call them something. :) They have black bellies as well, so I am sure something is going on, just taking my time proving it out and having fun with the project. Here is a pic of one of the boys with a normal sibling when they were youngins ;)

I hope Inferno keeps his/her color. Comes from a locality know for its "green" coloration, so only time will tell. I can tell you that one was the brightest of the siblings Toni.

Thanks Tracey, I appreciated the compliments. I dropped my good camera last ball season, and now am reduced to what I call my "crap" camera or my cell....neither of which take good pics IMO. So I have to work twice as hard to get decent shots.

I did not know about the Western restrictions in Canada, only the Easterns.

Mordred looks like a Mordred doesn't he? I like the Camelot themed names. I've gotta find/purchace some more easterns. I love these guys.

I DO like that "Bengal" though.

Yeah he does Quig....just has that "look". My son decided on the Camelot theme for the Easterns. Fingers crossed, I will have some CB babies next year Quig.

Easterns actually have the greatest natural variety. Which is part of their fascination :)

I'd have to agree. I've found four or five different color variations within a five mile radius of my home, here in Michigan, over the years. BUT on the plus side for the westerns, they have a much better morph selection.

Well, with the "Ivory", Albino, and Scaleless Eastern's popping up in the wild, who knows what could be done with them if more people worked with them. I mean, a truely green eastern, makes the "green" western look like it is colorless. Just saying, if breeders really started working with them, and doing some selective breeding, I think we would be amazed at the number of morphs that could be proved genetic and produced.
