View Full Version : My 2010 Bearded Dragon Clutch
Melanie 11-27-2010, 12:23 PM This was from a tangerine x translucent pairing. It took awhile for them to all hatch, but the last two came out of their eggs this morning- about a week after the first three!

#5 This one really threw me off this morning, all the others have the standard ladder pattern down their spine. Not this guy!

I know everybody says it but... These pics don't do them any justice! Bad lighting, blah blah blah! Maybe Jason can get some better ones later!
Melanie, they are adorable! Congrats!
Dan W 11-27-2010, 02:12 PM Very nice. Congrats.

Melanie 11-27-2010, 02:18 PM Thanks guys! They're a lot of fun so far!! Jason informed me this morning that we're keeping #5 regardless of sex! lol
I like #2! They are all cute! Congrats!
Sputnik 11-27-2010, 03:23 PM Cool stuff Mel - the zigzag pattern is cool!

Thanks, Kare! #2 for some reason is almost always dark. I've seen it light a couple times but it doesn't last long! Also, #2 bit me this morning! It was hilarious!! Kinda tickled!

Thanks! Yeah, I wish I knew more about beardie genetics. I'm pretty sure that's a tiger but I don't know anything about the gene. I think it's just a pattern variation. Neither of the parents had it. If anybody has any info to share, feel free! lol!
Mrs. Sputnik 11-27-2010, 04:29 PM I love them & their cool patterns
GenePirate 11-27-2010, 05:37 PM Aww! Sweet l'il beardies! I'd love to see pictures of the parents too. I really like translucents.

Your wish is my command! These pics are a few months old but you get the idea! If you want to see more, you can look through my old threads. There are a couple videos in there, too.
Thorn was a tangerine. He actually died the day the first hatchlings were coming out..

And Lucy, the translucent. She's actually grown quite a bit since this was taken. I'd take a fresh shot but she has a hood on at the moment.

GenePirate 11-27-2010, 06:08 PM So sorry about Thorn, Mel, but he made some pretty babies to carry on his lineage. He does have a beautiful color. And, Lucy's a little cutie, too! Thanks for sharing!
norsmis 11-27-2010, 06:09 PM Neat looking little buggers Mel! That last one didnt look like none too happy to have you taking his pic!

Well, he put in a lot of work cutting the egg, crawling out of the egg, etc.... He just wanted to nap! Actually when he started gaping at me, I was closing the lid and ready to leave them alone. But I couldn't resist the photo op!
Melanie 12-02-2010, 09:38 PM I took a couple group shots tonight while they were soaking up the heat after a good spray down. (They were ALL on the hide until I came with the camera!)
