nice eastern

i raised an eastern from a baby to about 5ft before giving it to a couple that does shows at schools...that thing once it got about 2 and half ft quit rattling and posturing...it was so laid back that cleaning and other maintenance was easy...he'd ride a hook from the cage to the trash can and back like he knew nothing was gonna happen...none of the rattlesnakes i've raised since are like him...the female western i 've raised and had for 12 years doesn't mind me outside the cage, but try and get her out, whole nother story....i am raising three other westerns and two are fiesty while one seems docile...it just may be temperment of the individual because i know he is not the norm...they are 2 1/2 ft now, so i should know in a couple more years if he becomes as docile as my eastern was...i know different snakes have different temperments, one of my albino boas will bite every time you open her cage, where as the male has never even attemped to bite me....they are treated and handled the same, well were until she got my arm and wrapped it the second time as if to eat it...that was when they were 4ft, now they are 6fters and she is treated like an easternDB ....i have also observed this in ratsnakes and king snakes....
thanks for the holiday pics and happy holidays to all
