View Full Version : St. Pierre vs Koscheck
panhead 12-11-2010, 11:47 AM OK, so who's watching this fight ? I think it will be a good fight and end up going into the later rounds. I hope GSP submit's Kos as opposed to a knockout. I would really like to see Kos have to tap out simply on principal. He's definately shown he can dish out the BS but he can't take as shown on TUF.
IMO Koscheck is a jerk and this is one of the few fights that I actually want to see someone bleed ALOT before all's said and done. Would love to see a total GSP annihalation of Kos.
Brandonfb75 12-11-2010, 03:14 PM Wow I might be the only one who wants Kos to win. GSP is a great fighter and im sure that he is a great guy but he needs to move up a class. He is head and shoulders above everyone in his weight class.
AdamTrioxin 12-11-2010, 03:20 PM I will be watching the ppv! Going into this season of TUF I really was pulling for Kos, since I really do not like GSP. After watching the entire season I hate to say it but I am really wanting GSP to abandon the grind out a win style he has and just beat the snot out of Kos.
tristatepythons 12-11-2010, 03:46 PM We'll be watching. Should be a good fight. Would like to see a decisive win by GSP, but I still don't think that will shut Koscheck up.

NOT to start an argument, but are you saying that because he's good, he needs to move up out of his weight class? I don't agree with that. It is up to the others IN his weight class to train, study, workout, and improve their skills to the point that they can match and then exceed his skill level. Can't punish him for being good, or, give him a handicap, so to say. That takes all fairness out of the fight, IMO.
Yes, there are fighters that move up or down a weight level, but that is on their choice of where they feel they fight the best. I believe that GSP is fighting at the weight that he feels best. Alot of people think that fighters can drop a level and just beat everyone, but in all reality it doesn't work that way, you drop too much and you are wiped out before the fight even starts. Going up a class on the other hand can be equally difficult, not only because of the other fighter naturally having a larger frame, but carrying more yourself makes you slower.
Brandonfb75 12-11-2010, 04:06 PM No im not saying that to punish him. I believe that there is noone in his weight class that can fight with him. He has down it all. He already said that when he clears out his class he will move up. I would rather him do it now. There is nobody else to fight after Kos.

Agreed Sara!!! No-class guy is Koscheck. My hope is that while he did not respect his elders in the the show -- he respects his betters in the ring tonight!!!
tristatepythons 12-12-2010, 12:36 AM He did it again. Somehow GSP always comes in at a level above his opponent and dominates the fight.
panhead 12-12-2010, 02:22 AM GSP did a great job punishing Koscheck. I think they both showed class after the fight. I also like the fact that Stefen Strude win his match in the firsy round, again against a 10-0 trash talker.
MikeCurtin 12-12-2010, 02:26 AM I like the way GSP mentioned that much of the trash talking was for promotion. I also like the fact that he made Koscheck's eye look funny. :lmao:

Yeah, that was a lot of trash talk for a guy with only one fight in the UFC. Who were those other 9 guys? Mark Hunt is a good kick boxer, definately not a mixed martial artist. And they said he used fight super heavyweight, at over 300 lbs. I don't imagine there is a lot of competition in that weight class, and at that weight he probably just laid on guys, a la Roy Nelson.
