My kids always name them within 24 hours.

It's easier to talk to my wife about them and keep her interested if they have names and she can identify with them. It helps her to get attached and that always helps me.

Name them all!! Sometimes, it takes a while until I find a name that fits, but they all have names. I am a girl though, I also talk to them as if they understand me....eh...it is therapy for me! :D

Some have named. V-nette named a few. I named a few based on some of their characteristics.

But I dont have all that many. Im sure if I had 200 animals they would have names.

The new runt Flavi/argus is named "Shorty" though :D.

If it turns out female I can always switch it to "Shawty" and get her some apple bottom jeans.

No, my fiance does though. I call them what they are lol. The only one I sorta name is my borneo, I refer to her a "My girl" cause anyone who hangs out with me long enough knows I'm talking about her.

We name ours. Im like wolfyhound. If were planning on not keeping the animal we wont name it. If we tend to name it we'll end up getting to attach to it.:)

Same over at my place, although I think my girlfriend has learned how to tune out my "snake talk."

Nope not the only one, Jeff labels all of them for the computer program. I've named our first BP and the GTP.

Every one of our pets has a name, except the frillies and that is because we haven't figured the names out yet. I don't name animals I plan on selling, but if they are staying here, they get names. All of my gang, whether breeders or not, are pets first, so they MUST have a name. To me it would be like not naming my dog.
Let's see, I feel like listing all of their names lol. Maybe it will give you guys some ideas!

My first ever herp is my leopard gecko Olina. Not sure where I came up with it, but it works. The others are Sebastian (because he is prissy), Lemonhead (for the bright yellow head), BB (for blazing blizzard), Sunshine (my sunglow), Cutie (because she was so damned cute popping out of the egg, but she is a mean little brat now), Freak (because she freaks out when you try to get into the cage), Ricotta (I had a cheese theme name thing going on for awhile), India, Chesney, Zaria, Kaya and Nia (all from a baby name website), and last but not least is Cheese (from a kids show Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends). Blaze just passed away on Sunday. I have 24 other girls I haven't named though because they are up for sale.
We have beardies named Zeke (who is actually a girl, but gotten as a male), Rames (prnounced Ram-zee), Flame, Thunder, Storm (see a pattern there?), Johnnie, Deere (another pattern maybe?) and Sophie.
The BPs are Pluto and Ike.
The mali is Torch (went along with this fire theme Matt had going on). His girl that died was Spazz because she was nuts.
The frillies still need names. Right now they go by "little one" and "big one". I am hoping to come up with something for them soon. I am thinking the big one might be called Hunter, simply because she is the most amazing cricket hunter I have ever seen. The little one is going to go by "Lazy little sh!t" here soon if she doesn't get moving LOL.
We have a dog named Sierra. Greatest dog on the planet. She was an SPCA rescue last May, and has been a huge asset to the family. Likes to go camping with us and chase squirrels, but lets the ducks share her dinner. I think we have heard her bark 4 or 5 times since we had her. Just a good damn dog.
I think I have them all.

I name almost all of the snakes that I plan to include in the breeding program, but I don't name babies that I plan to sell. I am bad at naming things so I have a name book for this purpose. :)

They all get named. They also all have degei numbers. When I sell one, I refer to them by number, and the new owner is free to either keep the name or choose a new one. Naming them makes it easier for me to keep track of general personalities, as well. (ie, I named him 'killer' or 'pansy' for a reason).
