indiana and ohios larger snow falls usually come in around late feb and early march. from what i read, the midwest will have warmer temps this year then usual but u know how that goes, it was suppose to be 54 degrees today and rainy but it was cloudy and 27? lol although i dont see alot of the larger storms since i am in the lower area of ohio next to kentucky we still get small one inch snows alot during winter.

I am up in the corner right by lake michigan....

We had out first foot of snow on 11-18 and then sleet and rain and more snow and sleet and rain and more snow again...I have seen the sun maybe 2 days the past month I think.

I might pay closer attention to it then most since I am out in it all the time....lol

Take John's map and move me over to the freezing rain side. It sucks too because I want to go Christmas shopping tonight. Oh, I'm going, but I'm not driving lol. When you have 5 kids, a little ice doesn't stop you from shopping the last weekend before Christmas, especially when Toys R Us is having insane sales LOL.
We are expecting some sort of winter weather to hit us every 48-72 hours for the next week or so, which means a white Christmas for us. I think Sunday is supposed to be the bad day here. Gosh I can't wait (massive amounts of sarcasm)
I hate snow too though. I always say "it's cold, it's wet, and it makes people drive like a$$holes"...I can't wait til these kids grow up and I can move to somewhere warm!!!

I dont know what gets into peoples heads when it snows. I am not a great driver. I admit that. But I am a SAFE driver. I dont take chances with my life or other peoples lives on the road.

And I live an area with a lot of mountain roads that dont get cleared as quickly as one would like. They are steep, they are treacherous. And these lunatics in their little Volvos are zipping around like its a spring day.

God I hate snow :(. I want to stay home, drink coffee, annoy the lizards and post needlessly. I cant think of a good excuse. They know me. Whenever it snows my engine blows up, I get whooping cough or struck by lightning. I think they are on to me by now.

Wow. I didnt realize it was so dangerous to work with them. I mean I know they are very big, very strong animals but they just seem to lumber around.

But then again I have zero cattle experience.

I did ride a horse once. That was plenty. Those things should really have a motor. I had a few issues. First, I am short 5'6" on a good day. And I have no legs. Im just thighs and feet. Add to that many years of deadlifting and squatting and my flexibility is gone. So just sitting on the damn filthy animal was excrutiating. My legs dont bend like that. I walked bow legged for days.

Next, they stink. I mean they smell bad. I couldnt wash off the stink. Later that day after 17 showers Im trying to have a soda bring the can to my face and wooooof. Horse stink.

Next, my horse did not want to follow procedure. He didnt want to follow the other horses. He wanted to wander around, eat grass, look at stuff. Someone who knows horses told me that a trained horse can tell when they have an idiot on their back will take advantage. Do the math.

Next, he kept trying to lean back and bite my foot. So I had to keep taking the foot out of the foot holding thing and swing it away from him. While attempting to stay on with my no legs.

And finally...the lead cowboy who was running this mess gave us a warning when we came to a small creek that we had to cross. He said make sure you kick the horse and let him know you're up there because if he thinks he doesnt have a rider he may want to roll in the water since its a hot day. And if he does that and you're on top he will pulverize your legs.. Needless to say, the horse knew I was up there. More from me screaming than actually kicking the horse since I was afraid I might piss him off and the biting might increase. Or maybe he would just take off like a shot and then what do I do? "Whoa" did not seem to work on this particular horse. Nor did "Stop! Stop! Stop! I swear to God if you throw me Ill have you turned into glue! Stop! Stoooooooooooooooop!!!!"

I have a little fear of horses. I even get nervous around the one in front of the supermarket. *shudder*

Sorry Buddy but :lmao:!!!!! I grew up on a horse. Got my own horse when I was 4. My horse was paint and wild as all get out. He would only let me ride him and if anyone else got on his back, he would either head for the barn or for the nearest low tree. My sister tried and tried with him but he wasnt having it.
Horses are very intelligent. My horse could count to 10 on command by hoofing the ground, if said "Rodeo Time!" he would start bucking like crazy, and he knew where my bedroom window was so if he wanted to see me he would rip the screen off the window and whinny until I opened it.
And you are correct about them knowing if a "newbie" is riding them. They will do whatever they please until you show some authority like grabbing their ear and giving it a tug or giving them a good swift kick in the gut. That usually calms them down real quick!

If Your ever down this way V I can show you quite a few cows as well. I live and work on a dairy farm. We have 700 milking cows and 1200 head total. From babies to adults. None of this weather really bothers me cause I have been raised working out in it since I could walk. Ice is probably the worse I think cause it makes just about everything dang near impossible to do. Even the animals can't handle the ice. We've had some bad times with ice here in the past. Snow you can always push it out of the way. Mud errr right now I'm sick of mud to be honest but it's nothing new really we actually get more of it then snow I think. But I'll take a foot of snow over any 34 degree day of rain. At least with snow and when it's below freezing outside you don't get wet quite as fast if at all.

It's Raining here now at 32 degrees outside yet it doesn't seem to be freezing as I can tell yet.

Oh boy going out in the freezing cold to shovel snow. Isnt that just ginchy.

WTH is "ginchy"???? Lol where do you live anyways big V? We've got about a foot on the ground and normally I wouldn't even bother going out there to shovel off my car but I'm going to look at some balls this afternoon

Ginchy means cool. Like "Man, that snake is the ginchiest". I picked it up somewhere I like like stupid slang.

I live in CT. We got about a foot. Im still clearing my house. I hate snow.

It doesnt surprise me that snakes are one of the few things that will get ya out of the house in this mess.

Hope you have a good time looking at your balls.

Man, is that a great name for a snake or what? So much comedy. You dont even have to try.

Well, the snow's just about done here (FINALLY!) I think all totaled we got at least 2' between the storm the other day and the one today. BTW worst effin birthday ever  I literally spent about 12-13 hours today either scraping cars (it's damn musical cars at my girlfriends apartment building all day so the plows can get in) shoveling the driveway at my parents place (two and a half times) or trying to drive to pick up relatives at the airport. The roads were so bad today, I think it took me an hour to make what's normally a 15-20 minute drive.

Thank God I'm gettin that cinny soon cuz I NEED a backup since my pastel obviously just wants to redecorate the tub and wear "fabulous" clothes all day :machinegun::machinegun::machinegun:
