View Full Version : can leopards 147BOAS 12-19-2008, 02:54 PM eat wax worms luciddream 12-19-2008, 03:03 PM They sure can. I wouldn't feed them to them exclusively, as their pretty high in fat and such, but as a treat, they're fine. Varanus99 12-19-2008, 03:11 PM Im not a huge wax worm fan but as Lucid said they can be fed sparingly. Quig 12-19-2008, 03:32 PM I've also heard that they can be addicting. Once they get a taste they don't wanna give em up. Ga_herps 12-19-2008, 04:39 PM Use them as a treat or to help get females to gain a little fat, but don't make them staple food item. I usually don't even like using them. A pinkie mouse makes a better substitute for the tasks typed above. 147BOAS 12-19-2008, 05:32 PM thank you every one BryonsBoas 12-19-2008, 06:20 PM I've also heard that they can be addicting. Once they get a taste they don't wanna give em up. Same with Pheonix worms. norsmis 12-19-2008, 07:14 PM I have a female that I cant give anything different than mealies to or she will stop feeding. I made the mistake of giving her a few waxies last year after she laid eggs and it took me 2 months to get her to take mealies again. I thought this had something to do with her laying but about a month ago I picked up some crickets as a treat for them and I just got her back to eating mealies again..... pain in the butt!!!! nwheat 12-19-2008, 10:55 PM wax worm = twinkie But, most geckos will practically sit up and beg for them! 147BOAS 12-20-2008, 12:33 PM how about can o crickets from zoo meds luciddream 12-20-2008, 09:13 PM how about can o crickets from zoo meds They're pretty nasty and smell terrible. I'd rather use live crix any day. They may eat them, but I have no idea what is in that "juice" they come in, and wouldn't want to feed em to my little kids. nwheat 12-20-2008, 10:07 PM Most geckos won't touch anything that isn't moving. norsmis 12-20-2008, 10:10 PM how about can o crickets from zoo meds Stay away from that crap Bro.... mealies, superworms, roaches, or crickets... all live! This is the best bet to have healthy animals.... 147BOAS 12-20-2008, 10:39 PM thanks every one i will not use them |
