Brad... I have I told you lately that you're not quite right??? (kiddin'!!!)
Beautiful shots man! Stunning snake, just... wow.
Matt S. 12-26-2010, 01:06 PM That's a beautiful snake. Mind blowing. How potent is their venom? Is it neurotoxic or haemotoxic or something in between?

What!!!??? I'm perfectly normal....mabey.....:wamma:
LOL, glad you enjoyed them!

Hemotoxic, attacks the blood, supposed to be fairly potent, but due to the small size, and rather benign attitude there are very few cases of death reported with this species, I can only surmise that the cases where someone did die may have been young or had a pre-existing condition....venomous bites are very hard to say with any kind of certainty how it will end up there are just too many variables size of the snake, how much if any is injected, location of the bite, an individuals reaction to the venom.....just best to stay out of harms way...LOL

Matt S. 12-26-2010, 01:23 PM Ok thanks. And how big do they get? It would be bad if I got bit cuz I'm reletivaly little lol
The Snake Guru 12-26-2010, 02:14 PM They tend to stay around the 24" to 30" range give or take. Just be sure you can actually keep them, I'm not for certain but I believe if you live in Chicago you can't keep venomous legally.
~B~
Matt S. 12-26-2010, 03:05 PM Note legally. Haha jk I I don't wanna mess anything up more here lol. They're beautiful and I wanna move to Indiana or Cali or somewhere and get some lol.
you are very entertaining

Doesn't look so benign in these pics. :lmao::lmao:
Great shots, awesome snake.
The Snake Guru 02-26-2011, 11:42 AM LOL....yeah they never really look it, but truely it takes a LOT before they actually start striking at anything....not that it couldn't change, but even during feeding it takes about 5min of tapping the pinky on it's tail before it'll actually grab it and eat it. LOL
Thanks!

UrbanLegend711 08-03-2011, 01:24 PM Incredible photos! Wagler's are my favorite hots...I only saw them for sale once, and I was afraid to get them because I'd only had mangroves prior to that. If I ever see one again though...might have to get it. They are unbelievably gorgeous snakes.
