Well were midway into breeding season and I'm getting pretty stoked. Last year was my first season and I can still remember the day my first girl laid eggs. I think I had a combination of excitment and panic at the same time. I remember running into the bedroom to wake my wife and tell her we had eggs and she told me they were in the fridge! That is a day I'll never forget.

My first clutch was a normal x pastel. Love to hear everyones first time and see some pics.

No BP's for me yet, my first season was last year and I tried to breed them like colubrids....turns out they don't do so hot on the one introduction lol

This year we have a few females going hopefully something....if not I'm going back to the colubrids and boas....lmao

Nothing wrong with those odds. I ended up with 7 eggs 1.1 pastel and 2.3 normals.

It was a buzz to say the least....

My first clutch was maternally incubated normals! Best day of my life, lol! It all went downhill from there....... You want pics, I'll give you pics!

het pied x normal.........nothing earth shattering there but the dad did pass on the het pied markers to two of the females (if anyone believes in that hokey-ness.......i do!)

My first ball python clutch wasn't until 2000 (boas and colubrids before that, very first was bull snakes in 1996). That first ball clutch was het albino X normal, 5 eggs and 6 babies. There was a cute pair of tiny twin males that started on fuzzy mice and did fine. I didn't have a digital camera back then so no good pictures to post.

Congrats to all of you hatching morphs your first clutch. I proved one of the 2000 clutch females het in 2003 but the two albinos where kinked and didn't make it. Maybe I'll hatch my first ball morph within the decade. I still have two of the possible het albino females from that first clutch back after being out on breeding loan for several years so maybe I’ll prove one of them but the males I’m using are also possible het albino. I sold the one that proved in 2003 to fund another project and also another sister that I felt produced enough non albinos with hets to consider a normal but these last two still aren’t tested.

never bred yet to get any clutches but im working on it. i want my first clutch to be either pastelxpastel or pastelxlesser

My first clutch was a Het Pied male to a normal female. He bred 4 girls and had 3 clutches and I kept all the females. 9 girls. It's still exciting. Good luck

my first clutch was a pastel x normal got ten good eggs 6 female pastels 1 male and 3 normal females. really good odds my fiirst year. hopefully my luck will continue.

I got 3.2 pastels and 2.1 females. I got rid of everything cept two female pastels. Now I wish I would have kept the last one and the two I let go this year.

My first clutch was lemon pastel x normal - six eggs, 1.1 pastels, 2.2 normals. My second clutch was lemon pastel x normal - four eggs, 2 slugs, 2.2 normals.

My last clutch was 100% het clown to normal - 4 eggs, 3.1 possible het clowns. And the girl was the last to hatch.

I'm hoping that the odds gods are kinder to me this year and last year was just an initiation! LOL

However, I can't complain about the quality of the pastels that I DID hatch!

my first clutch was ghostx pos het albino cuz thats all i had and i wasnt ready and the eggs went bad in a cheap incubator i tried to fix up. My first clutch that hatched was pastelxnormal 6 eggs 4 pastels 2 normals and i dot have pics haha

My first clutch was with a het albino male, and a mystery male.

Oh wait... that aint no male...... and at 900+ grams.... dude... i was scared and suprised all in one. :) But she did FINE with flying colors!

Still haven't gotten our first clutch. It's possible that we'll have a pastel x normal (pastel hasn't locked yet) or cinnamon X normal (once he gets out of qt) but I'm not sweating it too too much. If we don't get any this year we'll just have some more time to get the rest up to size and try some other cool pairings.

my first clutch was back in early 07 i had a pair of bci's she had a litter of 17 live and 2 slugs, and ive never been so excited, except when my little girl was being born ill post picks in a little bit i unfortunatly didnt get pics of her laying the litter she did it through the night
