Here is the photo table i use now. Black velvet drapted over a table. I put a prop (piece of wood) in the center of the table and set the grey card up for custom white balance.

Just add snake - Normal i produced in 07' from my ghost litter. Possible 66% anery.

note white specks of dirt on velvet. Easily removed with any photo editor. I left these photos un-edited.

Thanks for the lessons and the great pics. I'm assumin' to get good shots of an eight foot boa I'll need at least a whole corner of a room set up.:cheers:

It sure is.. with the large softbox option. I originally got the flash unit for people portraits but i have used it for snakes more than anything else ;)

wow... Im impressed... using an AB for shooting snakes. High dollar flash unit there... makes my studio strobes look cheap and they aint.

And all because of you.... now I want a boa.
