you should have some good luck with that much activity on the cameras.

Looks like you will see lots of deer. Is this an urban bow season just starting for 4 weeks? it seems late, our seasons are all just about closed or will be closing in the next week or two.
Good luck hunting

Those are some great pics. When it's hunting time, I hope you will have as much luck finding them as you did taking the pics. For some reason you just can't find them as much when it matters the most, and whenever you don't want to see a deer, there it is. Good luck.

Yeah, like when you're drivin' down some back road after dark

Our state deer season went out on Jan 1st 2011. This urban season starts Jan 15th and ends Feb 19th 2011. Its our second year having it here.

That sounds awesome, and judging by the pics you took, you may just have a great time. Is this like a general gun season, archery, black powder, and what are the limitations? Is it limited to local residents, or can anyone come up there and hunt? Or is it a special pull, and those who are lucky enough to get their names pulled are the only one's who can hunt? Good luck, it looks like a great time.

It is limited to bow hunting. I am not sure about the out of state aspect of it. I do know it is not a "draw" type of hunt. You do still have to have tags left from your NC state license to use. I never touched a gun this season. I used a bow all season. I did get three, and thats why I have a few tags left. I really like the new challenge of getting up close and personal. Its just target practice when the deer is 200 + yards away. Dont get me wrong, you have to know your gun , as well as how to use it to make that shot, but it takes something away from the "hunt" IMO.

I have friends who bow hunt. I know I need to get a bow some day. I have hunted during black powder, and general gun seasons. Bow hunting does make more of a sport out of it. I know some people who are pretty darn accurate with their bow. They have been doing it for a while. I will some day get a bow. Good luck.

Thank you. My little brother is DEADLY! He can hit a squirrel at 30 yrs pretty consistantly. But he worked at Outdoor World in BASS PRO while going to college. He was able to take full advantage of their indoor 3D range and test all of the new equipment from various companies. At least he is helping me out to get started. He even passed me down his PSE fully dressed bow, its only 5 or so years old.
