We had an ad on kingsnake and we were contacted by this Dana Volk (danavolkshop@gmail.com and danavolkshop@yahoo.com). DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PERSON! We were a little leery from the start but when they sent a response back to us telling us they would be paying with a check and they forgot to remove this from their response:

**I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping i will have my mover come over as soon as you have cashed the check I am hearing impaired and will hope that your intentions remains noble though out the duration of this transaction****

At that point, the deal was over. This is an old craiglist scam that I have seen, when the person offers to pay you more than the asking price, usually for a piece of furniture, and you are supposed to cash the check and give the extra amount to the movers when they come to pick up the item. The dollar amounts are usually ridiculous, like someone paying $2800 for a $300 couch to be shipped from NJ to TX. Once you cash their check they have your info and the whole ID theft nightmare begins. Don't fall for this, please.

I was also contacted by this person along with a couple others offering the same thing. I told them all to go scratch and quit wasting my time. I have not heard back from any of them in a while

Yeah, it looks like they have moved on from craigslist to other classified sites, but obviously they have no idea what a het albino is, if they did, they would know they wouldn't need a moving company to ship them. :p
They need to do some research into the sites they plan on scamming, beforehand. Idiots. Unfortunately, someone will fall for this.

Got the same, I like leading them on though.

He said his shipper was going to come pick them up, when I asked where they will be shipped he said Missouri. Since I was born in Missouri and lived there 13 years I asked whereabouts.....never heard back

For these guys to keep doing this they must have hit pay dirt a few times. That is quite unfortunate.

I'm an eBay seller, and I get the same crap on there. I normally get the really dumb ones too "I'm overseas and I don't have a credit card or a check, I need your bank account number to wire you the money... for this inconvenience I'll give you an extra $1,000 on the asking price." They will normally have bad grammar, or poor sentence structure as well.
