Hi all,
I was hanging out with a friend a couple of days ago and we were going over some breeding ideas. Nothing but the usual, would the lesser enchi be a good idea to run through the lemon blast female or would this be the.....well you know the rest.
Anyway then to my surprise he pulled out a few hatchlings from a dinker male he ran through a female, produced some offspring 2 years ago and finally proved out a really cool super this year by backcrossing dad.... we will keep it a surprise for now. And yes I will get pics next time I am over his way...
Long story short we went to a show picked up a bunch or really light odd patterned normals hoping to be one of those lucky few and we indeed got lucky.
Now the real question is this...
how many of you out there have seen pet ball pythons that you just had an inkling it had great potential to be the next great morph. By no means is our new super a crazy multi thousand dollar animal but they are still awesome and once we get some pastel in them and lighten them up I am sure they will surprise even us. But it just occurred that with so many subtle morphs out there we have to be missing a real gem somewhere without doubt.
I guess the real question is this, how many people out there day dream as I do and wonder with all these hard to tell morphs if someone is sitting at home mistreating and watching the next great thing go through bad shed over and over again. I hate to think that some great new morph is withering away at 79 degrees and 10% humidity in some kids room?
And just to be clear I am not bad mouthing all kids I am sure there are some that are half as o.c.d. as I was growing up and take great care of there animals.
Anyway thanks for reading and if you have similar experiences post them. I would really love to see some hidden dinker projects others are in the works with as well.
I will post pics as soon as I can but in the meanwhile feel free to post your own and or any other odd ball normals you think have potential.
Peace to all... J
