View Full Version : Fresh Out The Hole!
Ophiuchus 12-21-2008, 01:26 PM For a while I eyeballed the Argentines love the dark color and pattern, well after doing some research on husbandry I picked one up, she's a female almost a year and a half. You know what funny everyone I talked to said that they are aggressive, she hasn't tried to strike at me even once?
Anyway just finished quarantine and she's on the main line, my first boa!

Tosha 12-21-2008, 01:28 PM She is very pretty I love the color and pattern and I'm not even a boa person
JOHNS6068 12-21-2008, 01:29 PM I like their color and pattern as well and have considered getting a pair in the future. Congrats though on getting her :)
norsmis 12-21-2008, 01:31 PM Nice one Bro! You are lucky if you found a calm one. Every one I have ever seen was striking like crazy if you even get close to them... and they usually arent bluffing!
Wild Bill 12-21-2008, 01:34 PM Love it!!! Those are sweet looking boas!!!
janeothejungle 12-21-2008, 01:45 PM She is HOTTTTTT. I almost picked one of those up from a local guy (although I'm not really a boa person), but just as I was about to say 'okay, I'll take her'; she hammered his forearm with zero warning. The wound was impressive. I reconsidered.
So now I will happily admire yours instead!! May she be as sweet as pie all her days!! Keep us posted!!
Cheers,
Kat

Sputnik 12-21-2008, 09:56 PM I love argentine's, best boa ever! :yourock:
Ophiuchus 12-21-2008, 11:39 PM Thanks everyone I'm real proud of her!
SublimeBoa 12-22-2008, 07:55 PM That girl is gigantic for a year and a half old. I have a Colombian female 2½ that's smaller then that by a tad. I would have guessed 3 yrs by the size and adult colors showing.
But she is a nice one. I always liked them, have admired a few up close, but never took the leap. Maybe one of these days when I'm done playing with the mutated Boa genes. LOL
Thanks for sharing. She's a doll.

Varanette 12-23-2008, 01:48 PM WOW! Neat coloring/patterend. I knwo that I haven't seen all there is of snakes out there but that one sure is nice! I really like the colors too! :D
bassett524 12-23-2008, 08:54 PM congrats, argentines are by far my favorite boa. I've never found a nippy or aggressive one either though. A little hissy as neos but fine as adults. I need to get some more sometime soon.
