DanielA989 12-21-2008, 07:03 PM I breed Blue beauty's and mine I will say ( not to toot my own horn) but mine are the nicest I have seen. Mine seem to hold a significant amount of white. Here is the adult female laying her eggs.

Jenea hit the head on the nail here. I have worked with beauties and Ridleyi (cave dwellers) and the caves were MEAN!!!!! Tried to take my face every chance they got. The beauties werent that bad. Beautiful animals for sure but you must be patient and not let them intimidate you.... :master:

They are very aggressive huh? How big do they get?

I heard they can be aggresive..but wasnt sure how true that was...I here they can get long as well.
norsmis 12-21-2008, 08:01 PM They are semi arboreal so they stay skinny but can get up to around 8 ft or more but usually less.
DanielA989 12-21-2008, 08:07 PM They are somewhat snappy if you don't know how to handle them like anything else. They are definately not for everybody, but neither are retics etc. I think they are alot of fun. If you raise them from cb baby's you will be fine in my own opinion.
V - They are very easy to take care of like any other rat snake I keep mine in 41 qt tubs. They like cooler temps and feed like no tomorrow.
Thanks for all the info on them. They do look really cool.

Great post Daniel! I was rushed in my earlier post. Those boys will eat for sure! They got all the left overs when I had a larger collection to feed. They will eat anything that moves and most things that dont move! The last ridleyi I had were sold to a gentlemen who wanted to use them to practice working with hots...... they will bite if you dont show them respect for sure!!!
ReptileMan27 12-21-2008, 09:06 PM Mine has its moments but no where near as mean as my ATB lol.. They are really cool and beautiful snakes.. They are another overlooked species by many because of there bad reputation for being aggressive..
norsmis 12-21-2008, 09:13 PM My caves were some of the most beautiful snakes I have ever owned. I hated getting rid of them but the wife was not having it after she saw me get tagged by em a few times..... They really freaked her out.....

Welp.... that sells it... I need some. But then again... I also work with hots :) so it doesnt bother me..... I love the WDB attitude.
