Me and my brothers caught this while fishing back in the 80's my mom scanned in the newspaper clipping so I thought I would share it.

all of the legs worked perfectly and it could obviously get around just fine or else it wouldn't have gotten that big. all of the legs worked independently from each other.
I have heard about a certain parasite that makes frogs grow extra legs but I'm not too sure if that's what happened to him.

I would not think these legs were caused by the parasite. Usually those legs are randomly placed and underdeveloped and are not very mobile. This frog has to completed set of legs and I would say has to have two pelvises. Almost seems like a cases of a parasitic twin, but seeing that the legs are where they should be it would have to be ex-rayed to find out.

Originally I thought of all the pesticides used in the 80's that were seeping into stream and pond systems causing strange anomalies like this during metamorphic development, but you are right they are too perfect looking. Usually the extra sets of legs caused by developmental problems are highly deformed and nearly useless, but these seem to have been completely formed and are obviously not hindering the animal. Very interesting
