a killer extreme hypo Honduran male hold-back I produced in '09....

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc140/DMong_bucket/SNAKES061.jpg

an aberrant hypo Hondo male that will be bred this season to his sister to see if this particular aberrant trait is indeed genetically inheritable as thought.....

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc140/DMong_bucket/SNAKES118.jpg

a normal Honduran that is very special because it is het for amel and hypo/poss. het for anery from the revered "mega" hypo bloodline. Nobody knows very much about this particular hypo line as of yet, but several other good friends of mine are also working with them to try to get a better handle on how this gene is displayed and inherited. There is something very odd about this trait compared to the typical hyp gene in Hondos. Lots of other cool additional morphs will be made with this sibling breeding in another two years or so, but my main focus will be to produce some actual "mega" hypos which is why I opted to keep the normal hets as opposed to the amels. This way I have a much better chance at producing some.....

a proven breeder amel Honduran male from 2006.....

LOL!,...you know me!,....all about torture and torment! :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, these extreme hypos are most definitely some of my very favorites in the entire collection, I must say!

Yes, that is hopefully going to be the father of the one's you and some others might be getting this year......finger's crossed!!..LOL!

I know man, the brooks are extremely ugly and disappointing for sure, just haven't found any buyer's to unload them on all this time. :lmao:

I sure hope it goes better this year than it did last year with them. The first year I bred them, she had nine huge eggs that all hatched, but last year I had two crappy clutches. One clutch only yielded two that hatched, and two dead in the egg, and the second very small clutch had no fertile eggs!. It was a real bummer man. This year, I hope to have one or two of her offspring that might also breed and lay along with their mother as well, so let's hope it goes well this time. I just hope there is still enough to go around, as all sorts of people are on the waiting list this year, including you!..LOL!

Doug, very nice ! I produced some super high yellow Brooks back in the early 90's , before any morphs were available. Obviously everyone back then was into the classic yellow (as much as possible! ) brooks. I have some pics , I'll get them up as soon as I can. I just found this forum . Good luck this season, the sticticeps are exceptional !

Yeah Doug, I have been on kinsnake since Jeff B. started back in '97. I'm generally a lurker. Been out of breeding snakes for some time. Back in the 90's I did produce a ton of stuff, mostly colubrids but some pythons as well, Burms and GTP's. I did have a large collection of alterna, mostly local snakes from many guy's that are still in it to this day. Wish I had kept them now. My 8 year old boy has shown alot of interest lately.
Unfortunately the way I am getting back in again is through an unfortunate turn of events for a friend of mine. He got sick quickly and sadly passed away 2 weeks ago. He had a large collection of Central and S. American milks, and some other various colubrids, including those striped splendida. I was able to help his son out , who couldn't care for all the critters. His son has his own collection and it was going to be just too much. Some of the animals I am going to keep, some I am not going to keep. Some have already gone to other keeper's in the area.

Very sorry to hear about your friends passing.....that's always very disheartening to go through.

Yes!, that striped splendida you posted was a real looker man!, wouldn't mind having one of those to introduce to mine here.

Any real rarely seen Latin/South American milks by any chance?

Yeah, I really like that crazy aberrant male OBX too, as well as those blanchardi myself!. Yes, a very unique, incomplete temporal banding on those, as well as solid black snouts.

Doug, he had some super triangulum. Andeans, stuarti, cambelli, Honduran morphs including some nice adult Japp Kooji hypo tri's , annulata, oligozona, polyzona, arcifera, gaigae, conanti and blanchardi. All adults or subadults. The only snakes his son wanted to keep were the Blanchard's (can't blame him) and a really nice red/black triad polyzona Richardson line screamer. The blanchards were his Dad's favorites, they came via Shannon. His son had bred some snakes in the past so I feel confident he will be able to produce some more blanchardi, maybe even this season.

Sounds like some very sweet stuff he had. Yeah, I have a very young pair of blanchardi from Shannon as well, and I really dig them too.

I used to have several pairs of oligozona in the mid 90's, and only wish I still had them now. Scott Ballard even said that they were the nicest, most genuine oligozona he had ever seen ......anywhere. They looked absolutely IDENTICAL to a tagged, preserved locality specimen in a museum Scott was able to examine and photograph, and keyed-out perfectly in every single detail. I am still kicking myself about getting rid of those to this very day to be quite honest.

BTW, the bi-colored polyzona sounds like a really nice "real-deal" specimen too!

Do you have any pics of the oligozona by any chance?
