Took all the hogs out of brumation... 11 weeks at 52 degrees without a hitch... All are healthy and doing well... Tomorrow morning they go on full heat and will get their first meal the day after... Then the pairs go together... If all goes to plan I should have a pretty nice selection to post here for you all to look at in the next few months...

And the extra bonus of the day was my male conda het albino shed out... He is stunning... Cant capture his true color for the life of me but this is pretty close...

Always nice to have a successful brumation, congrats. From the looks of that awesome 'bino 'conda it shouldn't take much to get them back to breeding weight.

Thanks everyone... No matter how many times you brumate snakes, it is always a good feeling knowing you did it properly... I have only ever lost 2 snakes during brumation over the last 15 years or so...

From the looks of that awesome 'bino 'conda it shouldn't take much to get them back to breeding weight.

Believe it or not, at 52 degrees, they lose very little weight... in fact one of my females was the exact same weight yesterday as she was when I put her into brumation... A couple of meals and everyone will be right on track...

The best thing to do when brumating snakes is to just leave them alone and let them brumate... In 11 weeks, I only checked on them 6 times... That was just to refill water dishes and to make sure no one had any signs of a URI...

I would have kept them down another week or so but the basement temps went up into the 60's and they became very active... So they let me know when it was time to wake up....
