Does anybody know some good herping locations near Kansas City (within 50miles)? And does anyone know the habitat for ringneck snakes or some general tips (where to look etc...)?

Thanks,

Ringnecks are abundant in some areas and scarce in others. They tend to like woodlands but are very secretive. Look under rocks and under bark of fallen trees.

Okay, so do they like wet or dry woodlands?

They pretty much adapt to anywhere. But I generally associate them with moister conditions. Also keep in mind they are salamander eating snakes and that is where to find them...near optimal salamander areas.
