My goal is to see one good litter from her and then she can spend the rest of her days just living high on the hog, she had a really rough start and now will only eat guinea pigs....I think she will make killer babies, but what papa wouldn't...lol
JOHNS6068 12-24-2008, 04:09 PM Nice looking girl!!! and best of luck with her :)
Gotta make a bigger light box if they won't fit
Sputnik 12-24-2008, 04:20 PM Pretty looking boa.... good luck if you do pair em up!
FloridaHogs 12-24-2008, 05:14 PM She looks like a sweetie. So what was her rough start?
Wild Bill 12-24-2008, 05:20 PM I've always liked the Dum's!!! :yessir:
JChandler 12-24-2008, 05:53 PM Thanks everyone....

I got her as a sub adult and she went close to 10 months without a meal...she was skin and bones by the time I finally got her to eat.
Sold as eats anything....finally got her taking stinky guinea pigs and she hasn't looked back. Tried to switch her to rats a few times but she isn't having any of it so I just stick with the guinea pigs...
One of those people at a show who just up and disappeared so....
Southern Wolf 12-24-2008, 06:05 PM Yep.... you need a larger light box and then again... so do I
Buckskin 12-24-2008, 06:22 PM Love the look of Dumerils Boas. We had one For five years. She was my sons first Boa. We agreed to sell her at Tinley last year. We miss her. Yours has brought back some great memories.
JChandler 12-24-2008, 06:28 PM Thanks!

I am really hoping to one day get those white cages that I can install lights in them that I can just use for picture use...that would solve the large light box issue maybe...lol
Would love to see her have some babies. I know it would make Jeff's day.
FloridaHogs 12-24-2008, 06:48 PM Well, glad you got her to feed, she looks great now
Southern Wolf 12-24-2008, 06:51 PM Or just build a big one out of Melamine... prob a lot cheaper

Im liking the way you think
Oak on the outside and white laminate on the inside... the long side can have a swing up door to use it as a lightbox.
Gotta think bout this one.... if ya see smoke... dont call the fire department... just throw some water on my head.
I really like that girl! You have me thinking about Dums...
Cheers!
Good luck with her Jeff! Scott's waiting another year for his girls to bulk up. I'd sure like to see pics of your slime ball of wiggling babies this year.
JChandler 12-24-2008, 09:43 PM Thanks Dave, I love them....the male doesn't have the personality the female does but they are both just great snakes...
Kare I would love to see them go this year...don't know and I'm not going to push her...would love to see some little wigglers this season too!
