Hatched out some Dendro-Dendros a few mos. back. Parents are acclimated imports that I waited a year to introduce. WARNING, I did lose my first male to cannabilism..make sure the male is at least the same size as the female and that she's well fed prior to introduction....brutal lesson to learn..oh, then she gurged him back up 2 days later...just to add insult to injury I guess. I incubated these high on a shelf in my snake room w/fluctuating temps..hovered right around 80F. Manually pipped at 105 days and I vented the tubs app. 8 days before this to allow any excess moisture excreted by the eggs to be able to evaporate. I was suprised at how big they are at hatching.

awwwww! they are so cute! mangroves are awesome little snakes! my friend has an adult male, has the worst attitude i've ever seen but it's funny to see when he's mad.

always have to hook him when she's cleaning the cage, but then he's ok being handled by hand as well.

i've always thought about getting one of these guys.

Just like a black widow spider. "C'mon up for some sex and a snack hun." Sorry for your loss.

The young are as pretty as the adults

They are gorgeous. Are they difficult to start eating?

They were tough! Looking back I think I started trying too early. They hatched out so big in retrospect I don't think they're ready to feed for a good 6 weeks out of the egg. All are on thawed pinks/peach fuzzies now but initially took only lizards (Utas). I then scented the pinks then straight pinks.

I was stressing big time but will be a little more relaxed when the next clutches come/hatch. Been pairing up a few for the last 3 weeks and all locked up so it won't be long now.
