i am tring to plan out my trip to NC and just thought of herping out there anyone know good spot's? so far i have 2 spot's.

well i am going to be put up in Raleigh from there going to be going down to greenvile there is a few spots there. from that point i have no clue, at this point any leads are good ones to me.

Where are the spots in greenville? I live here and cant find good spots lol.

then you are not looking, when i was down there i found a few, i am asking cuz i don't live there and would like to herp with someone or would like to know some of the hot spots.

Most of the parks and stuff they wont allow you to take things out. So pretty much you have to own the land to keep things. Unless you are talking about just taking pictures of herps?

yea im in belmont just outside charlotte and there arent a lot of place ive been down by catawba river but thats about it

who said anything about a state park? most of the spots i know are on the side of the highways.

If you are looking for "hot" spots Drive over to Hyde county. Find a Pine thicket with a service road and drive down it. Chances are you will find several red phase carolina pygmy rattlers, possible timbers, copper heads. Just do not have any collecting tools ie buckets, bags, etc cause they look for people trying to take the pygmys. Dont want to cause your self any unneed troubles.

Around Greenville there are quite a few areas to go herping. There are lots of little creeks in the country side around Greenville these always make for good walks. When were you coming into town. If I am free I may be able to take you to some areas around me that I have always had luck at.

@crazyglue Hit me up man. We can go sometime. I have a few areas around me that pay off most of the time. Hell I caught a 6' rat snake in my back yard.
