Nice looking group of Z's John. The pyros look exceptionally fine too. Have they hooked up for you yet?

The pyros have yet to hook up for me yet (that I know of), but all the Holbrooki, lots of the Thayeri and Mex Mex have....even a couple pairs of ruthveni have.........
I have 3.3 Pyros breeding this year and 1.1 Knobs......I have yet to witness any hook ups but each pair is housed together so while at work I could've missed the action.......

They are amazing. Beautiful colors. How do you brumate these guys?

My snake room has it's own Window Unit A/C.....In the winter I put up an insulated partition wall and "trick" the A/C to cool the room to arond 50F or so......The A/C unit's lowest setting is 60F so I have to pull out the electronic sensor and set it above a heating pad.......Prior to October I play with the distance between the sensor and the heating pad to get the temps needed for brumation.......
I let the snakes that will be brumated clear their stomachs in mid October....last feeding around October 1st.......After this I drop the temps to around 65F.....The snake's enclosures are filled with shredded aspen so they can burrow up and hunker down for the cool temps.........Around the end of October to the middle of November I drop their temps down into the low 50Fs........I change their water twice a month or so and wait until Valentine's Day to bring up the males.......Then around the end of February I bring up the females and start feeding them as much as they want......As soon as a few meals are in them I place them together and only separate for feeding.......
