LOL, that's one thing I like about em. They aren't very strong constrictors, and are nest robbers by nature, so they'll pin anything that moves to the wall and hold it there till they finish what they're doing. Did you notice he grabbed that first one by the butt? Took him near 15 minutes to get it down :lmao:

That's the reason I like feedin' these guys live. Something gets within range and they ERUPT from just below the surface. I wish I was quick enough with the camera to catch that once.

Sweet little Saharan Q. From observing my own collection I've determined that "butt first" eating is not a species specific trait. I sometimes wonder if most of mine aren't from the 90% that would not survive to adulthood in the wild.:rolleyes:

LOL, I sgree it's not species specific T. I think it has more to do with timing, or excitablity at feeding time :D

Fun picture! I love how ours lies in wait (all the time...LOL) and when that meal does show up the response is a huge burst, even for the f/t meals she gets.

He's between 3 and 4 years. I've got a trio and hope to breed them someday.

Nice picture. I have several Boas that have eaten "butt" first and even a few that ate sideways... taking a loooong time to "fold" their meal in half to get it down.
