I got musked today for the first time. trying to peel off some try shed on my anaconda het toffee and heard a squiting noise and she musked all over my hand. It was my first time experiencing this and the smell wasn't too pleasant. had to wash my hands a couple times, and the smell wasn't to great, but atleast i got that first out of the way..

Welcome to the world of hog nosed snakes . I've got a WC eastern that musked me every time I picked him up for the better part of the first year I had him. Now he only does it when I really make him mad .

Keep a big ole bottle of it in the fridge...fair warning though if you have any cuts on your hands!!

Hey Quig, on a side note, if you have any green tree frogs up there, freeze a few with a little bit of water. Next time you go to feed, thaw out a small mouse in the baggie with the frogs and give that a try on your eastern. All three of my winter holdouts would not touch a toad scented mouse and ate my reserve of frozen toads. All three sucked up frog scented mice yesterday.....something about those green trees.....might be worth a shot to give you options on feeding. :)

Green Tree frogs I got by the tons, but they're more often heard than seen, and I don't climb in the dark as well as I used to :lmao: :lmao:. I'll give that a try Jenea, thanks.
